Over the course of time the intention is to form creative collaborations across a number of different fields, with the objective being to support the creative industries and promote the work of emerging artists, graphic designers and illustrators in our products.
The first collaboration is with Nicola Rowsell, an artist and illustrator based in East Sussex. Nicola has created a broad body of work, but it was her characterful studies of wildlife and animals that now feature on two knitwear pieces. She uses sketchbook observations as a foundation, to which she adds combinations of chalk, pencil, gel pens, ink, gesso, paint or collage to build the deftly layered textures that perfectly capture the spirit of her subjects.

In addition, we will soon develop further products for the range that support and showcase the depth of skill and creativity of the artisans, producers and craftspeople that live around us in East Sussex.
